In a previous video, we looked at how to backup a wordpress website without a plugin. In this video, we’re going to use a plugin. A popular, widely used, and excellent plugin for backups is Updraft Plus.
With Updraft Plus, you can backup, download, and restore your WordPress site with just a few clicks. This is as a free user! There are upgrades available for more functionality as well. I can’t recommend Updraft Plus enough. It just works.
How To Backup WordPress With Updraft Plus
Search for and install Updraft Plus plugin.
Once installed, go to Settings -> Updraft Plus in your admin menu.
Click on “Backup Now”. The wizard will run and your files will be available to you. It’s very important to download them to your computer at the least, but preferrably also upload to the cloud. This way if something happens to your server, you’ll still have backups available.
See the video above to see the backup in action.
